Macomb Community Theatre presents Sylvia

Our season begins with the tale of Greg and Kate, empty nesters from the suburbs who’ve moved to Manhattan. Kate’s career in education is finally beginning to show promise, while Greg is becoming more and more disillusioned with his career in finance. While walking in the park, Greg finds a stray dog, a street-smart lab/poodle mix wearing a tag inscribed with the name Sylvia. He brings Sylvia home and quickly becomes besotted with her. Kate, however, is not impressed and tells Greg, “The dog phase of my life is definitely over.” Sylvia thinks Kate just doesn’t understand the relationship between man and dog! She becomes a bone of contention between husband and wife, testing their marriage to hilarious and touching effect
