June 14 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

On Monday, June 14th at 2:00PM in Chandler Park, the Macomb Elks Lodge and Boy Scout Troop 332 will host the annual observance of Flag Day. This will be performed under the back drop of the Flags of Love. The Elks is the only fraternal organization to mandate this ceremony which was instituted in 1916 by President Wilson. It was ordered to be a national observance in 1949 by Harry Truman. The Elks have observed Flag Day since 1906 which is the year the Macomb Elks Lodge was formed. This is a beautiful ceremony complete with stirring patriotic music. Bring your lawn chairs if possible but limited seating will be provided.
