April 2 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Macomb Arts Center is excited to announce the return of Battle of the Brushes on Saturday, April 2. This will be the fourth year for this exciting fast-paint competition and fundraising event. Adding to the fun, Macomb Police Chief Jerel Jones has graciously agreed to be the 2022 Celebrity Artist!
Throughout the evening guests will watch adventurous artists create paintings in just 30 minutes and will vote to determine the final round participants, as well as the ultimate winning artist. Guests will also enjoy a variety of hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, a silent auction of fun items and experiences (including paintings created throughout the evening) raffle prizes, and a live auction of the final round paintings.
Doors will open at 6:30pm, with the first round of painting beginning at 7:00. Tickets are $35 for one; 2 or more are $25 each (so bring a friend or two!). One free drink will be included for MAC members. Tickets may be purchased through PayPal at, or reserved by emailing info@macombartscenter. org or calling 309-836-2782. Tickets will also be available at the door. No one under 20 will be allowed unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. There are still a few spaces open for anyone who would like to engage in this fun and friendly battle. You don’t have to be a professional (or even practicing) artist to join in the fun–just someone who enjoys seeing what you can create in 30 minutes with a brush, some paint, and a canvas! Artist information/application is available on the MAC website or email Application deadline has been extended to Wednesday, March 23. Participating artists will be announced at a later date on the MAC website and Facebook page. The Macomb Arts Center is located at 25 East Side Square in Macomb.
