THURSDAY, May 13Th
5-7 pm – FIREHOUSE FISH & CHICKEN FRY in firehouse. Catfish
filets- Free Will Donation (To benefit the Farmers Picnic)
6 pm – Pepsi Wagon – Water & Pepsi Products (BCO)
6:30 pm – Pinewood Derby Racing at shelter house. Cars can
be purchased by calling Amanda Smith-309-252-2155 (community cars
available for children without cars)
7-9 pm – Bocephus Wayne –
FRIDAY, May 14Th
11am-1pm – Fortress Bank -Customer Appreciation Picnic
in the Firehouse
6 pm – Pepsi Wagon water & Pepsi Products
5-7 pm – Grilled Pork Chop Supper – Sandwich, chips, applesauce
and bottled water in firehouse- Carry out only (WP FFA Alumni)
5-9 pm – Blandin House Museum open & celebrating over 51
years of preserving and maintains a collection of artifacts, records, and
photos for persons of all ages about the history of Blandinsville; Lori
Boyer 652-3324
6-9 pm – On Stage Band- classic rock, folk, 50-60s dance and
bluegrass
9 pm – Staggard – Southern Rock playing between Slup’s and 2
Doors Down in adult beverage area
SATURDAY, May 15Th
8 am – Farmers’ Picnic Run/Walk sponsored by Fortress Bank
(check in 7 a.m.; 5k/1-mile run/2-mile walk; $20 entry fee; pre-register
by May 7th to receive souvenir T-shirt [no shirts available day of event];
top male/female in all age groups; walkers must walk (Gina DeSpain

8 am – Judging of Bake-off Contest at firehouse (Bring items
between 7:30-7:45 a.m.) (Cash prizes awarded – $100, $70, $50, $30)

10 am – Roberta Schurtz Parade – “Farmers- The Backbone of
America” Parade Entry Registration Line up beginning at 9am at north
side of Ball Park. Preregistration recommended. Judging at 9:30; Cash
Prizes- 1st $100, 2nd $75; 3rd $50
Kiddie Parade – line up at 9am at 110 E. Madison. Judging at 9:30;
Cash prizes – 1st $50, 2nd $45, 3rd $15 (Brenda Melvin 309-652-3485;

There will be two announcers for the parade, Country Financial and
325 S. Main St – Lets fill all of Main Street!
10:30 am – Kids Tractor Pull at post office. 3 classes: 4 and
under, 5-6, 7-8
11 am – 22nd Annual Vicki Haney Bake-off & Auction at firehouse
(Please leave auction items at Peak Printing or at the firehouse
the day of the auction) (See 8am Bake Off for contact info)(Proceeds
to benefit: Blandin House, Vicki Haney Scholarship Fund, and Farmer’s
Picnic 2022.) Concessions in firehouse (BCO)
5-6 pm – Fishing Derby sponsored by the Village of old south
reservoir (ages 10 & under must be accompanied by adult; biggest fish,
most fish) (ages 11-17; 18+’ biggest fish) (All contestants must bring
fishing pole, bait & container for fish they catch) (Jared, Jennifer or

5-7 pm – Pulled Pork Dinner in firehouse (West Prairie After
Prom class of 2023)
5-9 pm – Blandin House Museum open & celebrating over 51

9:30 a.m. Community Church Service in the park
Nothing about the past year has been normal, nor has it been easy!
